Pass the Florida Civic Literacy Exam. Every answer sourced.
Three full-length practice tests built around the four competencies the state defines, timed like the real session and scored by competency. Each of the 272 explanations names the document, case or law it comes from, so you can check it yourself.
"Men being, as has been said, by nature, all free, equal, and independent, no one can be put out of this estate, and subjected to the political power of another, without his own consent." Source: John Locke, Second Treatise of Government (1689), Sec. 95

How the scoring works
48 of 80. That is the line.
The state reports an overall score and a score for each of the four competencies. Every practice test here reports the same way, so you know exactly where you stand.
About 80 multiple-choice questions. Passing is 60 percent. High-school students have one 160-minute session with a break at 80 minutes and two attempts per testing window. A passing score in high school also satisfies the civic literacy assessment requirement at Florida's public colleges and universities.
Built from the sources
Not built to be believed. Built to be checked.
Most prep material is written from summaries. Every question here was written from the primary source it tests, and the explanation tells you which one.
Written from primary sources
The Constitution and its amendments, the Declaration, the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers, Supreme Court opinions, and National Archives records of landmark laws and executive actions.
Checked by script
Every date, amendment number and case holding was cross-checked against a fact table built from those sources. Four unique options, balanced answer keys, no duplicates, 20 questions per competency per test.
Reviewed independently
The questions were drafted with AI tools under human editorial direction. Independent model reviewers then tried to prove each keyed answer wrong or ambiguous, and flagged items were rewritten or removed. Corrections, if ever needed, are posted openly.
